Supporting a bilingual child, day by day

No teaching degree required: consistency and joy matter more than perfection.
Growing up with two languages is not a school project, it's family life. And the good news is: there is no single method.
What truly helps: giving each language its own moments or people (bedtime stories with mum, calls with grandma, Saturday songs), letting the child hear the language in real situations, and never turning conversations into pop quizzes.
Visual resources play a quiet but precious role here: an alphabet poster or vocabulary cards placed next to real objects make the language visible at home. The child understands it belongs to everyday life — not to homework.
